Daniel Pesca

Daniel Pesca

Both Amanda and I had the pleasure of working with Daniel Pesca, a Huntsville native, incredibly talented composer and musician. A small selection from his bio:

- Daniel Pesca (b. 1985) leads an active life as a freelance pianist and composer in the Chicago area. He is the recipient of many commissions; his work for wind ensemble, Forking Paths, was commissioned and premiered by Michael Haithcock and the University of Michigan Symphony Band. Daniel holds a BM (Eastman, ’05) and an MM (University of Michigan, ’07) in piano performance and composition, and is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. -

You can read more about Daniel and hear his work at his website here: danielpesca.com

Don't look back.

We CAN learn from the past, but only what didn't work for then. Not what will work for NOW. The present moment is always changing. The landscape always shifting.

What alters our course is not the looking behind, nor the looking forward, but rather opening up our eyes and being aware of the now. When we hold up the present moment against what we are out for, this is what changes our course.

You and I cannot know tomorrow. Today will become yesterday. What is done, will be done. The only place we have control over, is where we set our gaze. I heard it once said about riding a motorcycle, that you should always look where you want to go. If you set you gaze on the pavement, you will surely end up there.

That applies to life as well.

Big things ahead...

The holidays can be a hectic time and with so much going it can be easy for stuff to get lost in the shuffle. Rest assured though, we have so many amazing things in the works! Stay tuned, find us on Facebook and let us know how we can impact you.

We are actively working to make a difference in our community. If there is an event, project or anything you have a passion about, that you would like to see us write, photograph or shoot video for, let us know.

Dare you to move...

It happens.

You wake up and everything is different. This wasn't in the plan and everything around you seems determined to take your very soul. When you hit that wall, what do you do?

I heard someone yesterday say that Wile E. Coyote never fell until he looked down. Just keep moving...don't stop. That's what I am doing. Not looking back. Not slowing down, and every moment reaching out to those around me and asking them to join me.

" I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor

I dare you to move

I dare you to move

Like today never happened

Today never happened

Today never happened

Today never happened before "

Lyn's Gracious Goodness

Goodness gracious is what I say, when I think about the chocolate pie I had yesterday at Lyn"s Gracious Goodness. The pie crust was flaky and the chocolate filling was a light fudge texture, very good. Gracious they were when the pretty blonde behind the counter asked me if I would like a free tea... I had just left Lawren's from getting stocking stuffers and was starving, so I decided to go eat somewhere that is a comfort to me when I need a pick me up. I was very surprised and happy when I found out that they have free wifi. This makes me really happy because when I'm out and about in Huntsville, I can stop in, have lunch or a sip of something and work on my computer. If I don't have WiFi, I can't upload my photos. These days, as busy as I am, not having WiFi often becomes a deciding factor as to where I eat, or bring clients, so now one of my favorite places to eat, will also be one of my favorites for work.

I need good food, good atmosphere and great customer service to get myself in a creative mindset, and Lyn's really does that for me.

I heard that LeeLee taught a cooking class about a month ago out at 1818 Farms, sorry that I missed out on that one. Me being a yoga teacher for 7 years and now taking photos, I love to take any class that I consider an art form. LeeLee's first time flower arrangements that she made were nice and the pumpkin ice chest she made was just brilliant!! Honestly I could go on and on, but if you've never been or just in a while, you owe it to yourself to go say hello to everyone at Lyn's and support a staple in our local community that offers great food and comfort .

Stay tuned, you will hear more from me about LeeLee and her Gracious Goodness.

Which Wich?

Owner of Which Wich in Jones Valley, Whit Webb hard at work.

A fun concept and one of Amanda's and my favorite places to eat, Which Wich provides you with what seems like an almost endless list of choices (between the both of us, we haven't eaten the same thing twice. Seriously). Amanda says, no matter kind of mood she is in, she always gets what she wants. Trust me, that isn't so easy to pull off. Your endless options are presented to you on a brown paper sack; the very sack that will eventually hold the masterpiece you have created. A red marker, your name on the bottom and Amanda and I keep our paper sacks so we can see what we've ordered. We love this because It's all you; what you want, the way you want it. Ohh and good tea. We are here most Fridays around 2pm. If you see us, come say hello and you'll get an hour of photos on us. No catch. That's the shoot and the pix. At a value of $400, you'd be crazy not to find us. Not sure we are going to be there? Text Amanda and find out. This offer will be good through Nov. 30th.
